Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength…love your neighbor as yourself.”
When Jesus was asked about the greatest commandment He replied with love. The greatest commandment is to Love God with every part of our being and the second is to love our neighbor as we love our self. Often times we forget that we are called to love. We forget that Jesus’ purpose was to provide a path to the Father. When we forget that we are called to love God and to worship Him in all that we do we have a tendency to fail completely.
Learning to deal with people is hard work, but if we take a moment to stop and focus on our Father who has sent us the Holy Spirit to intercede for us in times of need we begin to realize that God really has given us a way to worship Him even in the hard times. I was recently in a situation that I blew horribly in which I was attempting to apologize for a wrong attitude that I had toward someone that I had worked with. During my apology the other person, whom I was ugly towards, said some things because of what I had done. What happened next ruined the apology because I ignored the prompting of the Holy Spirit which was telling me to just finish my apology and walk away. Instead I went on to tell him why I acted the way I did, in an attempt to justify my actions, and the end result was that I blamed him for what I had done.
We all fail at times, but we MUST not give up, we must continue pressing into the Father in our prayers and to ask for forgiveness when we mess it up. I am convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that God can fix anything that I mess up, if my heart is truly focused on the way of the Father. So when you are out there today remember that the Holy Spirit is with you and is guiding you, all that you have to do is to respond in obedience.
Have a Blessed Day! May the Lord protect you from the schemes of the enemy who’s sole ambition is to steal, kill, and destroy (Jn 10:10) all that God has created and wants to do in your life.
